Grappling with the Charged Classroom in Politically Contentious Times

In today’s extremely polarized political climate, classrooms pose challenges and opportunities for studying public issues and developing democratic values. This session brings together researchers and practitioners to explore how teachers navigate dilemmas, power and identity, and conflict as they examine controversial issues with politically diverse students during contentious times.
