Black Youth Activism in an Age of #BlackLivesMatter

This study reports baseline data elucidating an interplay between the: a) racial identity and b) civic engagement attitudes and behaviors of adolescent Black youth. Black youth ages 12-15 (n=38) responded to a 22 item online (Qualtrics) questionnaire. As predicted a relatively strong interplay between racial identity and positive civic engagement attitudes and behaviors was observed.
