Teaching Difficult History Through Film

History is full of difficult topics: topics that are difficult to portray, to discuss, to teach, to experience, and to understand. This session utilizes scholarship from history, film, and education to explore the relationship between film and pedagogy and to consider models for how best to teach difficult history.
