Teaching Against Islamophobia as Justice-Oriented Citizenship in Elementary Social Studies Education

Findings that indicate standards documents maintain and extend nationalism and Islamophobia prompt the authors to suggest avenues for anti-bias teaching about religion and promotion of cosmopolitan citizenship in elementary classrooms.
