Stories of Feminism: Students’ Historical and Contemporary Perceptions of Gender

We sought to better understand how students in a Gender and Education course understood, and shifted, views of gender, feminism, and women’s historical contributions when studying such topics. Students expressed views on each topic that were limiting, empowering, and in between. We discuss implications for social studies educators.
