Open-Minded Children? Investigating the Outcomes of an Elementary World Cultures Curriculum

This paper describes a study that investigated whether an educational intervention designed to help young children develop skills and dispositions for intercultural competence and cross-cultural understanding positively influenced children’s development. Findings suggest young children can achieve these aims at varying degrees, if engaged in a robust, theoretically-based curriculum.
