Current Perspectives in Social Studies Teacher Education

Using Susan Adler’s (2004) Critical Issues in Social Studies Teacher Education as a starting point, social studies researchers present updated literature reviews and practical implications for educating future and current social studies teachers on the following topics: race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration, religion, disciplinary literacy, global civics, and social justice.
