Examining Civic Education’s Potential to Reduce Affective Partisan Divides

Civic education is often touted as a counterweight to the contentiousness of American politics, yet these claims remain largely untested. This study utilizes data from a nationally representative survey of the 2016 Election to examine the relationship between individuals’ civic education experiences and affective polarization.
