Teaching Against Islamophobia: Teacher Educators Reflect on Religious Diversity and Anti-Islamophobia Pedagogies During the Trump Presidency

In the midst of the Trump presidency and increasing hostility toward Muslims in the U.S. and abroad, this session examines how five social studies teacher educators in three Southern states worked toward the goals of promoting religious tolerance and teaching against Islamophobia and religious bias with elementary preservice teachers.
