Queering world history education through indigenous and alternative gender systems

Learning about indigenous and alternative gender systems makes for good historical thinking. This article focuses on how queer critique, historical contextualization, and indigenous knowledge systems are central elements in teaching indigenous and alternative gender systems in world history, challenging European ways of knowing and thinking about the world.
