Teaching U.S. History through Other Histories: Using counternarratives and critical lenses in teacher education classrooms

This symposium presents five diverse teacher education approaches to the disruption of the problematic traditional narrative of U.S. history. The papers included in this symposium are centered around the use of critical historical inquiry and critical race perspectives in the teaching of counternarratives.
