Is Bigger Better? Big History Project and the Colonizing Mind

This empirical study uses postcolonial theory and textual analysis to investigate how the Big History Project (BHP) curriculum might differ from the Western Civilizations approach in world history education. Findings reveal that BHP materials promote Eurocentric values through its representations of non-Western knowledge sources, content selections and word choice.
